THEATER  |  The Full Monty:
Seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their "Girls' Night Out," unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun. As the guys work through their fears, self- consciousness, feelings of worthlessness and anxieties (over everything from being overweight to child custody, bigotry to being gay), they come to discover that not only are they stronger as a group, but that the strength they find in each other gives them the individual courage to face their demons and overcome them. 6th Street Playhouse, 52 W. 6th Street. 6thstreetplayhouse.com

THEATER  |  Sophocles' Antigone:
Presented by The Imaginists Teen Ensemble. Antigone is a great piece for young actors to dig into for its ensemble focus (only eight students play all the roles) and its relevant themes. As the story is played out, once again, the debate is as relevant and timely as ever; will we, the citizens, side with Antigone and her belief that “the great unwritten, unshakable traditions” be adhered to above those laws of the state, or with Creon who believes we live not for ourselves but for the state, “Remember this; our country is our safety.” All tickets will be sold at the door.  $7/$12.
