Our interest in resource preservation and reuse is applied to many on-site resources, not just water. Since its opening in 1968, The Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant has increased its volume of treated recycled water from 2 million gallons a day (mgd) to an average of 21 mgd.
Technological innovations are continually used in the lab, employing computers to receive and interpret water testing results to increase data accuracy and efficiency.

Solar panels have been installed to further advance the efficiency of the Treatment Plant’s on-site resources. Because the Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant’s operations are focused around renewable resources, future efforts to increase resource efficiency will remain a priority.
